PATH SELECTION                        :-   A

·        TOOL OPTION BAR        :-   Tool option bar is used for the setting of the selected tool .You can change many setting very quickly as we wish. When you change the tool its related tool bar also changed.

·        STARTING NEW PICTURE :-  Photoshop does not open any file when you start the photoshop program. We will have to give command to open new file. To start a new file or convense click on new from the file menu. After creating a new file rename the untitled box many different information are put.

Such as:-  image, size , density  etc.

                                                You set the size of page in pixel , inches , centimetre, point etc.

                For this width any high of text box is selected. Generally 72 pixel is choosen for the density of moniter. We set RGB color for the images from the mode drop down list box.

·        RGB    :-  RGB is standard colour set which shows the picture quality very cleanly. At last click on ok button.

v USING OF SELECTION TOOL  :-  we know very well that to work on any document and before giving any command. We have to select that text , image , object etc.in photoshop program you can also select some specified portion of the image or object. While working in photoshop program selecting a portion a picture is very-very important.

I.            Marquee tool  :-  this tool is used to select image or text mainly there are two tools in its list.   (a) – rectangle ,  (b) – circular marquee tool.

                                                                                               Using this tools we select         rectanglular and circular portion of any image. One of these tools is always selected.

II.            Move tool :-  Using this tools we can easily moved any object in any direction.

III.            Lasso tool :- with the help of marquee tool. We can only select different types of pictures but we face many difficulty to select irregular types of picture in that case we need lasso tool to select that irregular picture.

                 Method :- I. Firstly click on lasso tool to select it or press ‘L’ button.

                         II. click on the boundary line of the picture that you want to select by   dragging facility select the picture don’t live the mouse button until its whole selection. When it is about to complete then live the left button of mouse. you will find the picture selected by the blanking dots. 

IV.            Polygon lasso tool   :-  this tool is used to select polygon types of shapes/image.

Method  :- I.  Click on lasso tool to select it.

                II. right click on lasso tool a pop up menu will appear then click on polygon  lasso tool.

   III. click on boundary line of a figure that you want to select a dot will appear than clicking the button of mouse slowly-slowly and carefully.

   IV. performing   this action joint the first dot and the end dot of the selecting line.

   V. you will find.

V.       Maganatic lasso tool :- this tool is also used as polygon lasso tool. But different is this  

that is automatically select the same kind of pixel.

VI.     Magic band tool :- this is a special type of selection tool. This tool is different from all  

          Other selection tool. This tool select the picture as pixel wise of same colour.

          Method :  I.  Click on magic band tool select it.

                             II. click on the area of the image of same colour of a picture that you want to

            select.

VII.   Crop tool  :-  this tool is used to crop any image.

          Method  :  I.  Click on crop tool.

                             II. drag on the image that you crop and then double click on the drown area.

VIII.    Slice tool  :-  this tool is used to dived a picture into different parts select that part of

            image that you want to crop and then double click to dived then.

IX.       Path tool :-  using this tool you can move a distinct part from one place to another

             place.

X.        Healing brush  :- healing brush takes place one the second number of path tool. Healing

            brush tool is used to copy the contain of the image in a very fantastic method. Alt key is

           used to heal an image.

            Method :-  Open the file that you want to used the contain into an other or that same

            Holding the left button of mouse drag very carefully without leaving the mouse button

             Until your healing is complete.

XI.        Brush tool  :- brush tool is used for paintng.

XII.       Pencil tool   :-  pencil tool takes place on the second number of brush tool. Which is

             Simply used to draw a line besides its sift, alt, ctrl keys are used for other purpose.

XIII.      Clone stamp  :-  at it is clear by name this tool is used for cloning it means that a

              Particular thing or part can be created on a different picture same as you clone.

             Mothod :- select the clone stamp tool and then click on that particular part of the

             Image with alt key click that place. Now drag on the image where you want to clone

             That thing or part.

XIV.      History brush tool  :-  this tool is used to come in the background mode of picture as it

             Was original.

             Method :- click on history brush tool to select it drag it on the image.

XV.       Alt history brush :- this tool effects an image like that is created by waited colour.

             Method :- select art history brush and drag it on image.

XVI.     Eraser tool :- at it is clear by its name this tool is used to erase any drawing drawn over

             on image.

XVII.     Back ground eraser tool :- this tool totally erase the back ground of an image. After

             Selecting it and using its various option we can use it in different mode.

XVIII.    Magic eraser tool :- this tool is used to eraser any picture/drawing in a different

 Manner. It removes some types of pixels. After selecting it. We have to click only on      photo.      

   Gradient tool :- with the help of gradient tool five types of file can be coloured.

I.                   Linear gradient

II.                 Radient gradient

III.               Angle gradient

IV.              Reflected gradient

V.                Diameter gradient

                                            These all are available in tool bar. In these for ground or background colour can be choosen.

·          Pain buckent tool :- this tool is used to fill colour on the background of the photo.

·          Blur tool :-  this is a special types of tool which is mostly used to make clearly of the

   image.

              There are many options related to blur tool are stavated in the option tool bar.

   use that according to the requirement.

·           Dodge tool :- this tool is used by touching machenism. This tool is used to make

               whiteness into the picture.

·           Burn tool :- this tool is used in such a way that. It is burnt the picture. At first select

              the burn tool and draw on the picture area.

·           Sponge tool :- this tool effects on photo in such a way like. It is made a painting by

   Hands.

·           Type tool :- this tool is used to type text on image or photo.

-: METHOD OF WORKING :-

·           To change the shape of selecting :-  Any selected shape can be changed to do so click on edit menu then click on transform and use the scale option by doing so croping handle will appear to the selection. By holding this handle and dragging method. You can increase or decrease it. and change the selected area shape. Doing before this zoom in that selected area and finaly when change other tool then applied dialog box will appear on the screen click on apply button to save these changed.

·        To rotate an image on 90, 180 etc.  :-  some times we need to rotate an image on angle like 90 , 180 ,then we can do this very easily.

I.                   To rotate any canvas or image on 90 or 180. Click on image menu go to canvas popup menu and then click on 90 or 180.

II.                 Now again click on image menu and click arbitrary option from the rotate canvas popup menu.

III.              We fill that part in angle text box on which we want to rotate.

IV.              To rotate in direction of clock we set the degree from the radio button. If we want to rotate anti clock clock wise then set the degree.

·          To turn any image :- we can turn any image horizontally and vertically.

Syntax :- edit menu –transform- flip horizontal/vertical. (enter)

                                                                                   If you want to turn the whole canvas then

           Image menu – rotate canvas – flip canvas – horizontal/vertical. (enter)

·          Working on colour :- in photoshop program you must have experience of colour to work effectively. In photoshop program we can change any photo in our desired colour. And improving colours we can make that more affectively that it was previous.

·        Using program in photoshop.

I.                   Colour mode.

II.                 Colour model.

o   Colour mode :- this is a method of using colour best on colour used. There are own respective colour or colours mod of RGB and CMYK model. Its black white and gray scale colour mode are also available. The main point of these colour. That the size of file is to much large in which pixel of colour are used to much. And the file size the decrease if the pixel of colour used less.

·         Gray scale mode :- in this mode there are only two colours black and white. There are 256 shade in this mode this mode is very suitable to print same kind of colours. Generally laser printer are used to print type of mode.

·        To convert colour image into gray scale mode.

                                              Image – mode gray scale (enter)

·         Colour mode :- there are various colour model in photoshop program. Mainly two colour model are used in photoshop program. I.RGB  ,  II.CMYK

·        RGB :- its full name is red , green , blue. According to this model all colours are shown in mixed colour from RGB.

·        CMYK  :- in this model to represent any colour 0255 number are mentioned of these colour. These numbers shows or represent density of image.

·        Bit map model :- in this model also there are only two colour black and white. In which black colour is made up of 0 bit. Therefore in this model the size of file is very less and the picture is also not look very clear. We can not directly convert any colour picture into bit map mode. Firstly it is convert into gray scale mode and then it converted to into bit map mode.

·        Palette colour :- colour palette selected for webpages to watch any photo on any website it is suitable.

·        CMYK :- this is a self dependent mode this mode is special used to print the image in book. The colour which is used to select it shows same.

·        To adjust colour :- if any image is not clearly showing on a t.v. then it is adjusted with the help of remote control. Show that the picture show clearly and don’t effect on eyes. In the same way to apply this effect on any image follow the syntax.

Syntax:- image – adjust – sub menu (enter).

                                                               All facilities are provided in the options of adjust before applying. If you most decide that in which colour your picture is the picture which is displayed on the screen are in RGB colour and when it is printed by printer. It is in CMYK mode.

Note :- I. To make wave page we have to work on RGB mode.

   II.  if you are working for business purpose then you can firstly work in RGB mode and at the time of finalising you can used CMYK mode.

·        Variation of image :- to adjust the colour of any image. It is compared before and after in photoshop program. This activity is called variation.

Syntax:- image – adjustment – variation .

	Variation					Save	ok

							lights

                                                                                    To modify any variation of image. There are two many option in this dialog box. We can set these options and see its effect.

                                                                                                               To modify that image to get more brightness click on thumbnail and then click on ok button.

·        Save a radio button :- after clicking this radio button we can set the present image and we can save that image for this type your file name. And then click on ok button.

                         “level with adjustment”

            :- according to levels the brightness of image can be improved.

             Syntax: - I.  Open any image

      II. Image – adjustment – levels (enter)

      III. set the preview option so that you can watch the changing in image.

IV.   move the given slide below of the rectangle so that you can watch the effect of that image.

   

                                                   To set automatically levels of the picture you can follow the given syntax.

 Syntax:- image – adjustment –auto level (enter) or sift +ctrl+L.

·        To adjust curve :- with the help of curve the brightness of the image can be improve its method is same as levels in curve dialog box a graph is given in graph there is horizontally axis for input and vertical axis for output. It is like a bond line.

Syntax :- I. Open any image .

                II. image- adjustment – curve (enter)

·        Colour balance :- we can balance the colour of any image follow the given syntax.

Syntax:- image – adjustment – colour balance  (enter)

Use the three slide to balance the colour. Set  the pre serve luminosity then the brightness of the picture remains same move one-by-one the three slides cyan magenta and yellow and after this changing click on ok button.

·        To manage brightness and contrast of a picture :-

Syntax :- I. Open any image.

                           II. Image- adjustment – brightness/contrast (enter)

                                According to requirement move the  slides of brightness and constrast  and then click on ok button. If you are not satisfied then used the revert option of file menu.

·        To modify hue/saturation :- to manage hue and saturation follow the given syntax.

Syntax:-  image – adjustment – hue/saturation (enter).

 

                       We can also this dialog box with the shortcut key (ctrl+u).

·        Edit :- this option is used to select the colour.

·        Hue/saturation :- this option is used to modify the picture for its good look. After selecting the master option of edit. You can move the slides of hue, saturation ,lightness and manage according to requirement.

·        To modify de saturation :- this command is used to and it is given by the keyboard. Its shortcut key is (ctrl+sift+d) . after applying this command our photo will look in completely gray scale mode.

·        To replace the colour :- using this option we can replace the current colour. Follow the given syntax:- image – adjustment – colour replace (enter).

  

               

                    To do this command first we select the image.

·        Picker :- you can choose any colour from any image with the help of pick tool. Click the pick tool and then click on the particular image or particular portion to choose that colour.

·        Selective colour :- we the help of this command/option. We can select any specific colour. We can also increase or decrease the quantity of colour.

               Syntax:- image – adjustment – selective colour (enter).

There are four slides bars in the given dialog box of selective colour. Cyan , magenta      , yellow , balance move and adjust the colour according to the requirement of image.

·          Channel mixer :- using this option we can mix the output channel with source channel.

    

                 

                         Follow the given syntax:- image – adjustment – channel mixer (enter).

·           Gradient map :- this option is used for the map of the gradient . you can change the following gradient and you can also choose any gradient from the list.

·        To make negative of image :-  we can also make negative of a colour image follow the syntax :- image – adjustment – revert (enter).

After using this option the colour photo/image is   converted into negative. If you want to make the photo as it was in previous we use this option again.

·        Use of threshold :- we can convert our colour image into black and white. Follow the given syntax :- image – adjustment – threshold – (enter).

Move the slides of the given dialog box to adjust the blacken white photo.

·        To crop any image :- we can make multiple copies of a single image follow the syntax.

Syntax :- image – duplicate (enter)

·        Feather selection :- if we are selecting any image and we want to select also the remaining part of an image then we use (ctrl+alt+d) or click on the feather option of select menu.

                            

                          In this dialog box we type the remaining pixel in pixel box and then click on ok   button.

·        Applying image :- with the help of this option we can apply our create image given as in the dialog box.

Syntax :- image – apply image (enter).

·         Calculations :- this option merge two sources in a single photo by using layer channel and also invert option change the setting as we wish and then click on ok button.

·          Image size :- this option is used to increase or decrease the size of image. You can increase the pixel of an image. It has mainly two parts pixel diamation  and document size type the width and high in the box number of pixels. You can also set the resolution an image and then click on ok button.

Syntax :- image – image size (enter).

·         Rotate canvas :- with the help of this option we can rotate the canvas according to the given option in the form of degree. Such :- 90 , 180 etc.

·         Croping an image :- we can crop any selected part of an image follow the given syntax.

Syntax:- I. First of all any part of an image and then click on image menu and then click on crop option.

-: Layer menu :-

·        New layer :- this option is used to create a new layer this just like a blank page.

Syntax :- layer – new – layer (enter).

                                       There are also some related option to layer such as :- layer from back ground , layer set , layer via copy.

·        Duplicate layer :- this option is used to create a duplicate layer of an existing layer. If just copy the present layer. Photoshop program treat every image text, shape or any other thing as a layer.

                   Syntax :- layer – duplicate layer (enter).

·        Delete option :- this option is used to delete layers.

Syntax :- layer – delete – layer (enter).

·        Layer properties :- this option is used to see the properties of layers.

                 Syntax :- layer – layer properties (enter).

     

·        Layer style :- this option is used to apply various styles on layers. You can apply the layers as we wish. There are so many related option choose any one and click to apply.

·        New fill large :- this option is used to fill the layers as you we wish. There are three options solid colour , gradient , pattern. Choose any one after applying setting click on ok button.

·        New adjustment layer :- this option is used to adjust new layers using its adjustment options. There are various options in this option change according to your requirement.

·        Change layer content :- this option is used to change the content of layer this option has many sub mainly. Such as :- slide colour, care dent pattern leaves, curve, brightness , colour , balance, contrast, hue saturation. -----

                    Syntax :- layer – change layer content – slide colour gradient (enter).

              Choose any one option that you need.

·        Layer content option :- this option is used to set contents of a layer when you have taken shape then this options opens a dialog box of colour picker you can choose any colour to set any colour picker. Syntax :- layer – layer content option (enter).

·        Group with previous :- this option is used to group more then one shapes.

                Syntax :- group with previous (enter).

·        Un group :- this option is used to un-group the grouped the grouped layers.

Syntax:- layer – ungroup (enter).

·        Merge layer :-  this option is used to merge more than on layers into a single layer.

Syntax:- layer – merge layer(enter).

               -: SELECT MENU :-

·        All (ctrl+a) :- this option is used to select all image.

Syntax :- select – all (enter).

·        Deselect :-  this option is used to deselect the selected image.

Syntax:- select – deselect (enter).

·        Reselect :- this option is used to again select the image.

Image:- select – reselect (enter).

·        Option inverse :- this option is used to for just inverse of a selection.

Syntax :- select - inverse  (enter).

·        Colour range :- this option is used to select the colour range.

Syntax  :- select – colour range (enter).

·        Modify :- this option is used to modify the selected area on image. There are four option in modify border, smooth ,expend, contract.

·        Border :- this option is used to make border of selected area.

               Syntax:- select – modify – border (enter).

            

·        Smooth :- this option is used to make smooth of the selected area.

Syntax :- select – modify – smooth (enter).

·        Expand :- this option is used to expand the selected area.

               Syntax :- select - modify  - expand (enter)

 

      

·        Contract :- this option is used to concise the corner of the selected area.

Syntax :- select – modify – contract (enter).

         

·        Grow :- this option is used to increase the selected area into full image selection mode. This option select the hole image by again and again using of this group.
